Grading. I don’t use the term Mint. I don’t believe that records manufactured over 30 years ago,
even if unplayed, can be called mint.
Grading:
Record/Cover
EX: Means either “near mint” to some light very marks with
hardly any noticeable noise. Sleeve has no or only minor wear.
VG: Means means some minimal background sounds and more
pronounced marks which do not affect the listening experience in a major way.
Sleeve may be creased, minor discolouring, the odd fraying, some ringwear, seam
split and perhaps some writing.
G: Means noticeable clicks or pop, may have scratches,
but doesn’t skip or jump. Sleeve may be ripped, tape repair, large writing,
sticker removal damage etc...
Fair: Not a pleasant listening experience, the disc is
damaged, just a stop gap before upgrading. Sleeve is badly damaged, not one to
frame on the wall...
Poor: I don’t sell records in poor condition
Please
note that in many cases Youtube clips are for reference and not from the record

On the flip of a
completely inane A side, you will find this monster. It sounds Like Cream, The
Creation and The Stooges all at once - that lead break is pure Ron Asheton.
Incredibly rare, it has taken me several years to locate a copy, then 2 appeared
at the same time. This is the lesser condition copy. The vinyl looks quite
rough, but actually plays through surprisingly well, a bit of crackle and a
few light clicks at the end. One label as small neat writing, the other has a
sticker stain. The start price is the price I paid for this copy. I would
expect a top condition copy would go for a 4 figure sum |

Simply incredible
Bonehead crunching double-sider! Stumpwater were without any doubt a killer
combo supremely loud and heavy, oozing attitude and a rampant sexuality, but
not quite as rampant as the other side which features Natalie Pollock and

I Can't Wait To Love You - Liberty Promo Pic sleeve (US) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoBWe40pxHs |
By a long way my
favourite anti-protest song. Apart from the hilarious lyrics, the backing and
tune are immense with its rich folkrock sound and wrecking crew backing. Dean
was so disgusted by its right-wing sentiment that he refused to take part. Funnily enough P.F Sloan was a long time
Jan and Dean associate and Jan and Dean recorded Eve of Destruction on their
Folk ' Roll LP. Go figure. This copy has the very rare pic sleeve in VG+
condition which dictates the higher price, which is much less than it can go for |

Starlust is one of
those names mentioned in the same breath as other New York bands thrown up in
the wake of the New York Dolls such Teenage Lust, Harlots of 42nd Street,
Magic Tramps, Brats etc…Girly Books & Magazines sounds like a total New York sleaze classic
–right? Well it nearly is - the tune.performance and lyrical content are

On the B side of a
commercial poppy affair, Rockin’ Suzanna is a
great Jagger mimic job. It has all the Jaggerisms down pat
over a Down The Road Apiece/Route 66 chugging machine. Nifty guitar
too…Imagine a 1972 Stones track without the smack. |

Bad Luck - Le
Motard/Terre de Feu -Mad Music (Swiss) Hear a clip https://youtu.be/g61U4r7j_MY |
"I’m a biker,
not a delinquent” goes the chorus of this misplaced slice of not
so-hell-bent-for-leather Biker Thug Rock. The fact that the band came from
Yverdon a centre for watchmaking in Switzerland rather than Hicksville Oregon
or Detroit partly explains their safe positioning. However why does the
singer spout theses inanities with such venom, why do the guitars roar louder
than any Japanese bike ever could? Why is the performance so bestial and why
do they sound like they really MEAN it man?.Orignal with inner sleeve |

Sarawest was
a Toronto band who played around clubs at the time and released this lone
single. It’s a cracking double-sider with Saturday (Hot &Heavy) being
the outright rocker and Space Rider, as it title indicates, the heavy
psych excursion. Both sides are full to the brim with stunning heavy freak
guitar moves, transposing 1969 into 1974, which indicates they must have been
a blinding live act. |
